LSU’s Frances Lawrence Appointed to JFP Editorial Board

BATON ROUGE – Frances Lawrence, associate dean and finance professor at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, was recently appointed to the editorial board of The Journal of Financial Planning. The journal publishes cutting-edge research and perspectives that will inform, benefit, and inspire the financial planning community.
 

The Journal of Financial Planning’s editorial review board plays an essential role in evaluating manuscripts being considered for publication. Members of the board contribute their expertise on varied financial services topics, assessing submissions for technical accuracy, soundness of research, pertinence and benefit to JFP readers.
Lawrence’s teaching interests include financial planning and personal financial management. Her research interests include personal financial management and poverty and rural health issues.
 

As the official publication of the Financial Planning Association®, the Journal of Financial Planning aims to expand the body of knowledge in the financial planning profession. With monthly feature articles, interviews, columns and peer-reviewed technical contributions, the journal’s content is dynamic, innovative, thought-provoking and directly beneficial to financial planners in their work.
 

The Department of Finance is a Chartered Financial Analyst, or CFA, Program Partner and a Certified Financial Planner, or CFP, Board-Registered Program that offers high quality curricula to undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in corporate finance, asset management, real estate, insurance, banking, financial planning and business law. The department boasts internationally renowned research faculty in several areas, including derivatives, asset management, banking and spatial econometrics. The department’s Securities Markets Analysis Research & Trading Lab boasts the Bloomberg Professional service, the platform used by more than 300,000 leading business and financial professionals worldwide to make informed business decisions, and an extensive library of financial data bases including the Wharton WRDS System. Additionally, the department encourages, supports and conducts research in real estate by housing the nationally renowned Real Estate Research Institute.
