05/07/2013 10:10 AM

BATON ROUGE – LSU Executive Education will offer a half-day program, titled “Navigating the Affordable Care Act,” on Thursday, May 9, from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will be held in room 1420 of the Business Education Complex at LSU.

According to LSU Executive Education Director Robin Kistler, a panel of legal, insurance and economic development professionals will discuss the challenges of adhering to the new requirements of the Affordable Healthcare Act and how these requirements will affect employers and the economy.

Panelists include LSU Division of Economic Development Director Stephen Barnes, Regional President of BancorpSouth Insurance Services/Wright & Percy Kerry Drake, Phelps Dunbar LLP Partner Karleen Green and Client Compliance Vice President for BancorpSouth Insurance Services/Wright & Percy Andy Impastato.

“We have brought together a very experienced group of speakers who are familiar with the nuances of the Affordable Care Act,” Kistler said. “They are prepared to break the act down into manageable and actionable pieces for participants.”

Registration for the event is $220 per participant. A discounted rate of $205 is available for non-profits and groups of three or more. Registration can be completed online at executive.lsu.edu or directly at http://www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=1212357.
