LSU to Offer PMP Certification Prep Course
BATON ROUGE – LSU Executive Education will offer a spring section of its Ultimate Project Management Professional Certification Prep Course, April 15-19, at the Business Education Complex.
The 40-hour course is taught by a certified Project Management Professional from Integrated Process Developers Inc., a PMI Registered Education Provider. IPDI is sanctioned by the Project Management Institute.
“Having the PMP credential behind your name signifies to current and future employers that you take your profession and your career seriously,” said Robin Kistler, director of LSU Executive Education. “It is a great way to stand out among a highly competitive work force and gives you the opportunity to tackle more challenging projects to advance your career.”
The standard rate per person is $2,950. Discounted rates are available for members of the Alliance Safety Council and groups of five or more from the same organization. Tuition includes the cost of instruction with a certified PMP instructor, all course materials, refreshments and lunches. Participants are responsible for any overnight accommodations and evening meals.
The program covers the project management framework, including basic project management definitions, the project life cycle, organizational structures, the five process groups and the nine knowledge areas. The program will focus on the actual material covered on the exam, giving participants critical information needed for passing.
PMP certification, through the PMI, is recognized worldwide as the standard for measuring an individual’s core knowledge, understanding and application of project management principles and practices.
The program’s instructor, Doug Boebinger, from IPDI, is a certified Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute and a Registered Education Provider. He has more than 17 years of experience as a trainer and consultant specializing in the area of project management.
