Companies Named for Third Annual LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, or SEI, will host its third annual LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses on April 26. Scheduled to begin at noon, the event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge, located at 4728 Constitution Ave.
According to SEI, the LSU 100 recognizes the fastest growing Tiger businesses that are either owned or operated by former LSU students. The experience consists of an honoree networking reception, breakfast with the dean and an awards luncheon. Honorees are individually recognized at the luncheon. This year’s complete list of honorees can be found at http://www.lsu100.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/LSU-100-List-Website.pdf.
“We have had an overwhelming response this year with a 55 percent increase in applicants,” said Charlie D’Agostino, interim director for SEI. “We have honorees from 10 colleges and our applicants this year hail from 18 states and two countries.”
Companies that will be honored as part of the 2013 LSU 100 meet the following requirements:
- Have been in business for five years or more
- Have verifiable revenues of at least $100,000 for 2009
- Have a former LSU student as owner of at least 50 percent of the company or as chief executive officer, president or a managing partner
- Operate in a manner consistent with the missions of LSU and SEI
“We look forward to welcoming the third class of LSU 100 honorees back to campus and reconnecting them with students, staff and faculty,” said Lisa O’Beirne, director of development for SEI.
