Lemonade Day Press Conference on March 21 Will Feature Graves, Holden
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute will host a press conference Thursday, March 21, in conjunction with a Lemonade Day Louisiana Backpack Stuffing event. Scheduled to be at the press conference to help spread the word about Lemonade Day 2013 on May 4 will be Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Founder Todd Graves, Mayor-President Kip Holden, LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean Richard D. White Jr. and Louisiana Business & Technology Center Executive Director Charles D’Agostino. The press conference will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be held in the Executive Dining Room on the first floor of The Rotunda in the Business Education Complex.
Lemonade Day instills entrepreneurship in youth through education, outreach and a workbook that describes how to start a lemonade stand. Each Lemonade Day participant will receive a backpack containing the materials on staring a business. These backpacks will be stuffed by volunteers, and SEI is looking for LSU students to help with the stuffing on March 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the BEC.
Individual students and student organizations can volunteer for the stuffing event, simply by emailing email@example.com and including the time they are able to volunteer. Attire for the stuffing event will be a student organization or club shirt or a purple and/or gold shirt.
