Weather Issues Change Plans for OSU President Gordon Gee; Will Address LSU Transition Advisory Team by Skype

BATON ROUGE – Severe winter weather in the north has changed the travel plans for The Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee who was scheduled to appear before LSU’s Transition Advisory Team today. He will now address the group via Skype.
 

The Transition Advisory Team will meet Tuesday in the Abell Board Room of the Lod Cook Alumni Center beginning at 4 p.m. and Gee is expected the address the group at approximately 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be available by live streaming video.
 

Gee is serving his second term as president of Ohio State, joining the university in 2007 after previously serving as president there from 1990-98.  As chief executive officer, he oversees Ohio State’s six campuses, 65,000 students, and 48,000 faculty and staff. Gee is widely considered one of the most highly experienced and respected leaders in higher education, having been named by Time Magazine as one of the top 10 university presidents in the country in 2009.
 

In addition to his service at Ohio State, he led Vanderbilt University from 2001-07, Brown University from 1998-2000, the University of Colorado from 1985 to 1990 and West Virginia University from 1981-85.
