LSU CCELL Accepting Nominations For Outstanding Service-Learning Faculty Award
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Center for Community Engagement, Learning and Leadership, or CCELL, in conjunction with the LSU Community Engagement Advisory Council and the Office of Academic Affairs, is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the $1,000 Outstanding Service-Learning Faculty Award. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 1, at 4 p.m.
The Outstanding Service-Learning Faculty Award recognizes outstanding service-learning contributions by full-time LSU faculty, including instructors. Nominees must demonstrate exceptional and sustained commitment to integrating quality service-learning activities in at least one academic course. Service-learning activities must exemplify best practices, have significant community partner input and involvement and be approved through CCELL. Applications should demonstrate outcomes and community impact.
Nominations may be initiated by faculty members, department chairs/heads, deans/directors, or community partners. Nomination guidelines are available on the CCELL website at www.lsu.edu/ccell. Contact Marybeth Lima at 225-578-9264 or email@example.com with questions on preparing nomination packets.
Nomination packets should be delivered to Room B-29 in Coates Hall no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, March 1. Nominations received after that date will not be considered.
The recipient will be recognized at the annual Distinguished Faculty Awards Reception on Tuesday, April 30, at the Lod Cook Alumni Center.
