LSU Ring Ceremony to be Held Nov. 11

11/08/2012 08:47 AM

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Division of Student Life & Enrollment, in partnership with LSU Finance & Administrative Services and the LSU Alumni Association, are proud to present the official LSU Ring to LSU students on Nov. 11.

On Sunday, Nov. 11, the LSU Ring Ceremony will take place in the Bo Campbell Auditorium at 2 p.m. and is open to those receiving rings and their guests.

In 1998, LSU established an LSU Ring tradition committee composed of student leaders and alumni. The committee established a ceremony, ring qualification standards and suggested a few modifications to the ring design. Now 14 years later, LSU is adding new elements to the experience of the LSU Ring.

Enhancements to the LSU Ring Tradition include each LSU Ring spending a night in the Habitat of Mike the Tiger before making their way to the Bo Campbell Auditorium in the Cox Communications Academic Center for presentation to LSU students. Chad Sabadie, 2003 LSU graduate and sports anchor for WVUE in New Orleans, will address recipients and serve as emcee for the event. Mike the Tiger will present each student his or her ring.

Each ring is meticulously handcrafted and represents the uniqueness of LSU and serves as a lasting symbol of our proud traditions and values. The LSU Rings are manufactured by Balfour.
