LSU Sponsoring Fourth-Annual Undergraduate Research Conference

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Office of Strategic Initiatives will be sponsoring the fourth-annual LSU Undergraduate Research Conference, or URC, titled “Excite, Explore, Experiment,” on Friday, Oct. 26. This event features an oral and poster presentation competition among undergraduate researchers in the science, technology, engineering & mathematics, or STEM, disciplines and the social sciences.

The abstract submission deadline is Monday, Oct. 1. Online abstract submission and additional information can be found at www.i3.lsu.edu/urc.

The LSU URC 2012 will also feature keynote speaker Graham Walker, an American Cancer Society research professor and Howard Hughes Medical Institute professor in the Department of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, workshops will be offered on topics about undergraduate research and graduate school preparation.
