LSU to Hold Annual Study Abroad Fair on Sept. 25-26
Students Have the Opportunity to Learn about Academic Programs Abroad
BATON ROUGE – LSU will hold its annual Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 25, and Wednesday, Sep. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Union Cotillion Ballroom. The fair offers students, parents, staff and faculty members the opportunity to explore all programs LSU has to offer. Faculty members who organize the summer programs, as well as staff from Academic Programs Abroad, will be on hand to answer questions and inform students about classes, program prices and sites. The offices of Student Aid and Scholarships, Admissions and Career Services will all be present to help students explore their opportunities.
The fair allows visitors to compare the different programs all in one location.
LSU offers students many options to study somewhere else. Students can participate in year- or semester-long programs at universities in each state within the United States, as well as Guam, Puerto Rico, Canada or more than 40 countries worldwide. Credits from those universities transfer back to LSU.
There will be information LSU’s summer programs, led by LSU faculty members all over the world, including places like Italy, Spain, Ireland, France, the United Kingdom, Turkey, China and Germany. One such program, Visual Arts Track, Summer Term I, which is offered through the LSU School of Art, will offer participants the opportunity to travel to the iconic European cities of London and Berlin during the summer of 2013. These programs offer LSU courses for all students in a wide array of subjects in the sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities and languages. Many of the courses are not offered on campus during the summer. All programs provide a wealth of opportunities to get to know the host countries. Last year, more than 600 students took advantage of the different programs LSU offers.
