LSU’s Manship School to Host Former La. Governor to Discuss 2012 Presidential Campaign
BATON ROUGE – Former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer will speak at LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 3 p.m., as a part of Robert Mann’s honors course that explores presidential campaigns.
The lecture will be delivered in the Holliday Forum of the Journalism Building on campus, in order to accommodate any members of the public or media that wish to attend.
Roemer will discuss his recent experience running for the Republican presidential nomination, and give his thoughts on the coming general election and the campaigns of Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
Mann is holds the Manship Chair and is the director of LSU’s Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs. His book, “Daisy Petals and Mushroom Clouds: LBJ, Barry Goldwater, and the Ad That Changed American Politics,” is available from the LSU Press.
