LSU LBTC Tenant to Graduate, Four New Tenants Added to Incubator
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Louisiana Business & Technology Center, or LBTC, has announced that Secure Nation, one of the LBTC’s 28 business incubator tenants, will graduate into the greater Baton Rouge area June 1. Additionally, the LBTC Business Incubator is welcoming BluReach, HITLights, Global Environmental Solutions Inc. and SCTCS Group as new tenants. All four of the new tenants have graduated from the LBTC’s student incubator program.
“The entrepreneurial activity in the area is thriving as we are attracting many new companies to the incubator,” said LBTC Executive Director Charles D’Agostino. “Many of these companies want the strong linkage with LSU that the LBTC provides.”
SecureNation is an information security-focused IT consulting and sourcing company that provides managed IT services. Since June 2008, SecureNation has worked to protect the secure company and client information of large publicly traded companies, state agencies and large banks, credit unions and state and private universities from hackers.
Jon Davis, chief executive officer of Secure Nation, established the company at LBTC with two employees and has been growing steadily. Upon the company’s graduation from the LBTC it will expand to 14 employees.
BluReach, a digital marketing agency created by LSU students Trevor Reeves and Sean Simone, offers services such as search engine optimization, social media marketing, email marketing paid search and banner advertising, web design and marketing consulting. BluReach clients range from local retail stores to professional service companies.
HITLights is already one of the leading LED products suppliers in North America. Their products include LED bulbs, lamps, flexible strips, flashlight and 12V Car-LEDs available in a wide range of bulb types, bases styles and output.
Global Environmental Solutions Inc., or GESI, helps clients navigate the complex environmental permitting and regulatory process to meet compliance requirements in a manner that works to balance flexibility, schedule and costs. GESI was established in 2010 by Brian Soucy.
The SCTCS Group offers a narrow range of specialized testing services related to settling and compression properties of hydraulically dredged sediments. Services include data analysis and interpretation and may also include general engineering consulting services in the geotechnical and environmental fields. SCTCS Group was established in February 2012 by William Moe.
The Louisiana Business & Technology Center, an integral part of LSU’s E. J.
