LSU First Year Experience’s Missy Korduner Honored By American College Personnel Association
BATON ROUGE – Missy Korduner, assistant director of LSU’s First Year Experience, was recently honored as the Outstanding Mid-Level Professional by the American College Personnel Association, or ACPA – College Student Educators International.
The Outstanding Mid-Level Professional Award is given to someone who demonstrates expertise in creating a campus environment that promotes student learning and professional development, outstanding individual contributions in innovative and responsive services and programs that address varied and emerging needs of students, and significant contributions to the profession.
“LSU has amazing faculty and staff. It is very exciting when that is recognized on a national level,” said Darrell Ray, assistant vice chancellor for Student Life and Enrollment. “Missy does an exceptional job in service to first year students and is truly deserving of this honor.”
ACPA, founded in 1924, has nearly 7,500 members representing 1,200 private and public institutions from across the U.S. and around the world. ACPA members include graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in student affairs/higher education administration programs, faculty, student affairs educators, from entry level to senior student affairs officers and organizations and companies that are engaged in the campus marketplace.
