LSU Press Book Wins Oregon Book Award for Poetry

Carl Adamshick’s “Curses and Wishes” presented with Stafford/Hall Award

BATON ROUGE – “Curses and Wishes,” by LSU Press poet Carl Adamshick, received the 2012 Stafford/Hall Award for poetry from the Oregon Book Awards. The awards, presented at the Gerding Theater in Portland, Ore., on April 23, recognized the literary achievements of Oregon writers.

 

Adamshick, who received an Oregon Literary Fellowship from Literary Arts, and is a cofounder of Tavern Books. His poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, The Harvard Review, The Missouri Review, American Poet, and Narrative magazine
