BATON ROUGE – LSU Continuing Education’s 2012 Summer CampUs will offer more than 40 exciting and educational programs for students entering pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, including residential camps, Pre-K sessions and technology courses.

For students entering pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, Tiger Challenge includes several fun and engaging courses that are divided by grade level. Some of this year’s courses include “Ocean Explorers,” “Cracking the Cosmos” and “Ready, Set, Geaux!” Tiger Challenge offers half-day and full-day sessions for added flexibility.

Tiger U, for high school students, has added new specialty technology courses in topics such as video game design, robotics and film making. Tiger U will also offer highly motivating, non-credit programs for students to enhance a college-bound curriculum. Tiger U gives students a college-like experience that they can use to improve their skills in new subjects.

For teens, LSU Continuing Education will offer one-week Tiger U residential camps. Camps for high school students include an architecture camp to explore architecture as a career, or a leadership camp to prepare for success in college and beyond.

LSU Continuing Education will continue to offer the challenging High School Honors Credit program, in which students entering grades 7-12 can earn honors high school credit in six weeks in math or science.
