Eduniversal Ranks LSU PAI 19th, LSU Flores MBA Program 38th

03/22/2012 03:36 PM

BATON ROUGE – Worldwide ranking body Eduniversal recently released its 2012 master’s rankings for 30 majors, and the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business placed in the top 20 for public administration and in the top 40 for MBA programs in North America. This is the inaugural edition of these Eduniversal rankings, which are separate and unrelated to the global rankings released last October for business schools.

“The Eduniveral Best Master’s Rankings is the only ranking which evaluates the programs of business schools and not the institutions, through the approach by sector and the market criteria only,” Eduniversal’s Best Masters website states.

Best master’s rankings are based on three criteria, according to its website:

  • The reputation of the program
  • The career prospects and the salary level of the first employment after graduation
  • The satisfaction feedback of the students

University of California-Los Angeles topped the public administration ranking, but the LSU Public Administration Institute was the first Southeastern Conference member school listed. LSU PAI received accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration in 2010, an accreditation that will stand for seven years.
Harvard Business School topped the MBA list, but the LSU Flores MBA Program was the only Southeastern Conference program to place in the ranking.

For 2012, Eduniversal ranked 4,000 master’s programs in 30 different specialties. Eduniversal’s interface is designed for students and parents and allows students to view its ranked institutions and easily apply to any of them.

The Public Administration Institute at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business offers a 42-hour degree program that emphasizes management and financial skills for those leading public agencies, nonprofit and healthcare organizations and for-profit organizations that interact with governmental agencies. PAI’s faculty members are student-oriented and nationally-recognized for their expertise in their fields. For more information, visit www.business.lsu.edu/pai or call 225-578-6743.

The LSU Flores MBA Program is the E. J. Ourso College of Business’ flagship program and rigorously prepares students to earn an advanced degree that will help them enhance their careers. Full-time, executive and professional tracks are offered and provide schedule flexibility for those wishing to pursue their MBA. For more information, visit http://mba.lsu.edu or call 225-578-8867.
