Kimberly Kochurka to Speak at LSU Executive Education’s “Breakfast to Business” Event March 20

BATON ROUGE – Kimberly Kochurka, director of the BlueCross BlueShield of Louisiana Learning Institute, will be the next speaker in LSU Executive Education’s Breakfast to Business series. The event will be held Tuesday, March 20, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at Café Américain, 7521 Jefferson Highway.


Kochurka will discuss the workplace of 2020 and what employers can do now to prepare for it. Her presentation, titled “The 2020 Workplace, Now! Are You Ready?” will highlight the challenges organizations face in a rapidly changing work environment. Topics will include a review of 10 forces shaping the workplace now, a discussion of the five generations at work and the five principles of an engaged workplace businesses must have in their leadership tool kit


“The modern workplace is in a constant state of change,” said LSU Executive Education Director Robin Kistler. “Understanding the drivers behind the change can help organizations better prepare to not only survive it, but thrive in it. Kim has years of experience in the field and is sure to offer insightful advice on how to tackle the workplace challenges of the future.”


Registration for the event is $25 per participant, which includes a full breakfast, coffee, juice and the opportunity to meet with LSU experts and business professionals from the Baton Rouge area. LSU students, staff, and faculty may register at a reduced rate of $20. Members of SCORE, Louisiana Tech Park, Louisiana Business & Technology Center, and Center for Emerging Technology also receive a reduced event fee of $20. Breakfast to Business is a bi-monthly program held on the third Tuesday of every other month and presented by LSU Executive Education, which is housed in the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute. The aim of the program is to provide timely, practical information and solutions regarding current business topics that affect the Baton Rouge community from a local, regional and national perspective.
