Twenty-Eight Members of Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Forty Under 40” List Connected to University
BATON ROUGE – Twenty-eight LSU alumni or employees were listed in the most recent edition of the Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Forty Under 40” list, highlighting LSU’s role as one of Baton Rouge’s best magnets for top talent and as a lodestone for the local economy.
“Forty Under 40” showcases “men and women under the age of 40 who are influencing decisions, capturing the entrepreneurial spirit and balancing bottom-line results with involvement in community and charitable activities” in the Baton Rouge area.
LSU alumni working in area businesses, non-profit agencies and the university all made the list, including Todd Monroe, associate professor/Arthur K. Barton Professorship in Engineering; Brandon Smith, LSU community affairs liaison; and two members of the LSU Athletic Department – Nikki Caldwell, women’s basketball head coach, and Eddy Nunez, senior associate athletics director.
According to the Baton Rouge Business Report, more than 180 people were nominated, and prominent members of the business community were involved in the selection process. The list was published in fall 2011.
