LSU Center for Academic Success Offering IMPACT Study Skills Sessions During Spring Semester
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Center for Academic Success will be offering seven two-hour sessions of the award-winning IMPACT program this spring, which helps students develop effective study and time management strategies.
The IMPACT program is free and, while targeted to first year and transfer students, is open to all LSU students. Registration is required and students can sign up online at http://cas.lsu.edu/impact.
In the two-hour sessions, students will learn strategies to help improve their grades, including the difference between high school and college exams, how to study effectively, how to better manage time and more information about free academic support resources. On average, students who attended the IMPACT sessions improved their grade point averages by .5 from the fall to spring semesters.
The first IMPACT session is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 13, from 1-3 p.m. in 225 Peabody Hall. For additional dates and times, more information on the IMPACT program or to learn more about the Center for Academic Success, visit http://cas.lsu.edu/.
