BATON ROUGE – The LSU Flores MBA Alumni Association-Louisiana Chapter presented the LSU Flores MBA Program with a check for $50,000 on Dec. 15 at the group’s annual holiday party. The event was held at Bistro Byronz in Baton Rouge.

According to Ed Watson, director of the LSU Flores MBA Program, the chapter’s donation will be used to support international study trips for MBA students.

“This group of alumni never ceases to amaze me,” Watson said. “Every year, they manage to surpass themselves and their generosity. We thank them for their continued support and their belief in this program.”

Watson was joined by other college administrators at the event, including Dean Eli Jones and Director of Alumni & External Relations Wendy Luedtke. Attendees enjoyed complimentary appetizers and beverages and recounted the successes of the LSU Flores MBA Program in 2011, including being ranked by Forbes magazine and being ranked by U.S. News & World Report in the top 50 among public institutions for 2012.

“The success of the LSU Flores MBA Program allows us to give back like this,” said LSU Flores MBAAA-LA Chapter President Troy Prevot. “Our ability to host an event like Louisiana Looking Up is contingent on the quality graduates the program has produced and continues to produce. When you are affiliated with such an elite group, people want to be a part of what you are doing.”
