LSU Museum of Art to Host a Blue Holiday Event with George Rodrigue
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Museum of Art is proud to announce the Blue Holiday Event, with an encore book signing by Louisiana favorite George Rodrigue, on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 1-4 p.m. The LSU Museum of Art is located on the fifth floor of the Shaw Center for the Arts in downtown Baton Rouge.
The fun begins with a book reading by Wendy Rodrigue, followed by a book signing with George Rodrigue. Children can participate in hands-on art, creating holiday ornaments and a "Blue Dog" mask. Patrons can also view the spectacular holiday exhibition, "Under the Big Top," the museum's unique display of circus-themed toys and fine art from the LSU Museum of Art's permanent collection, along with turn-of-the-century photos and circus posters on loan from a private collector.
Refreshments will be served and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Supplies are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, visit www.lsumoa.com or call the LSU Museum of Art at 225-389-7200.
