The project focuses on teacher education, material development and research. It also assists the French Consulate in the recruitment of Council for the Development of French in Louisiana teachers to teach French in Louisiana’s P-12 schools, including immersion schools.

The Spanish Ministry of Education sponsors the Spanish Resource Center located at LSU. At this center, workshops, courses, artistic activities related to the Spanish Language and Hispanic cultures and other resources are offered to teachers, students, administrators and any other persons interested in Spanish language and culture. The center lends printed and audio-visual materials and manages programs housed in the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, including Spanish Visiting Teachers in the USA and North American Visiting Teachers in Spain.
