BATON ROUGE – The LSU Flores MBA Program’s Distinguished Speaker Series will continue this fall with Fatrice Tempton on Friday, Nov. 11, at 9:30 a.m. in LSU’s Energy, Coast & Environment Building.

Tempton, area capital projects manager for ExxonMobil, is the second speaker in the fall Distinguished Speaker Series and will discuss multinational topics. A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, Tempton earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1980.

Tempton began her career with ExxonMobil as an instrumentation and electrical contact engineer at the Baytown refinery in Texas. She held additional technical assignments in the Business Analysis, Process, Mechanical and Technical organizations and, in 1987, moved into a variety of management positions. Shortly after Exxon and Mobil merged, Tempton transferred to ExxonMobil’s Refining & Supply Headquarters in Fairfax, Va., where she held assignments in the Molecular Management Project and Global Best Practices & Networking organizations. During this period, she travelled extensively throughout Europe and Asia, supporting groups in consolidating heritage work practices into a common best practice. Tempton then transferred to the Baton Rouge refinery in the environmental and operations area. In 2008, she returned to the Baytown facility as the area capital projects manager.

Lenny Lemoine, president and chief executive officer of the Lemoine Company LLC will wrap up the fall Distinguished Speaker Series on, Friday, Dec. 2, with a presentation focused on the construction industry.

Lemoine, who received his bachelor’s degree from LSU in 1979, began his career in Cottonport, La., as the administrative and financial manager of Cottonport Lumber Company Inc. After the retail lumber yard assets of the company were sold, he became the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Cottonport Company Inc., developing operational control systems for consistent growth management and geographic diversification. The company relocated to Lafayette, La., in 1983, and became the Lemoine Company LLC. In January 2001, Lemoine assumed his current title.

An active member of the Acadiana community, Lemoine is affiliated with numerous professional and non-profit organizations. He has served as president and as a member on the board of directors for the Pelican Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.
