LSU LBTC Presents “Louisiana Going Global” Workshop Oct. 5
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Louisiana Business & Technology Center, or LBTC, will be presenting “Louisiana Going Global,” a workshop on business expansion in international markets and trade. The workshop will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the LBTC, located at 8000 GSRI Ave., Building 3000, in Baton Rouge. The workshop is free to attend, and registration begins at 11 a.m.
The LBTC, the Committee of 100 and the Louisiana Office of Community Development’s Disaster Recovery Unit have joined forces in providing the workshop to provide assistance to small and medium enterprises in Louisiana to take advantage of opportunities for business development in potential markets.
Other topics included in the workshop are why businesses should export to Latin America, steps to creating an export plan and preparation for international trading of products and services.
The Louisiana Business & Technology Center, an integral part of LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business’ Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, endeavors to enhance economic development in Louisiana through the support of existing small businesses and the development of new businesses. Established in 1988, the LBTC’s highly successful business incubator program has been honored as the National Business Incubator Association’s Incubator of the Year.
