LSU Continuing Education to Host Grant-Writing Workshop Nov. 1-2
BATON ROUGE – LSU Continuing Education, in collaboration with kiisa corporation, will host a grant-writing workshop, Nov. 1-2, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The two-day workshop, “Successful Grant Writing,” will teach participants the essentials of researching, writing, obtaining and maintaining grants.
Participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of how to write grant proposals from start to finish and how to identify relevant grant opportunities. “Successful Grant Writing” will also cover federal, state, local, non-governmental and private sector grants.
Additionally, key concepts, such as how to build relationships with potential funders, effective budgeting strategies, and how to secure funding, will provide participants with an understanding of the entire grant writing process.
Sharon Sandifer and David Kiviaho, who have more than 50 years of combined experience in business education, training, management and non-profit development, will lead the workshop. Sandifer and Kiviaho are co-founders of kiisa corporation, a service-based education, training and consulting firm.
