LSU Chancellor Michael Martin to Address LSU’s Future at Breakfast to Business on July 19

BATON ROUGE – LSU Chancellor Michael Martin will be the next speaker in LSU’s Breakfast to Business Series. The event will be held Tuesday, July 19, at Café Américain from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Café Américain is located at 7521 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge.

 

Martin will discuss the role LSU plays in the local and state economies as well as where the flagship is heading. His subject, “The Future of the Flagship,” will focus on the university’s present challenges and opportunities.

 

Key topics covered will include:

  • The recent Legislative session’s impact on LSU.
  • The future of the university as the state’s flagship institution.
  • LSU’s driving influence on economic growth and business opportunities for all.

 

Registration for the event is $25 per participant, which includes a full breakfast, coffee, juice and the opportunity to meet with LSU experts and business professionals from the Baton Rouge area. LSU students, staff and faculty may register at a reduced rate of $20. Members of SCORE, Louisiana Tech Park, Louisiana Business & Technology Center, and Center for Emerging Technology also receive a reduced event fee of $20. Breakfast to Business is a bi-monthly program held on the third Tuesday of every other month and presented by LSU Executive Education, which is housed in the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute. The aim of the program is to provide timely, practical information and solutions regarding current business topics that affect the Baton Rouge community from a local, regional and national perspective.
