Friends of the LSU Museum of Art to Host Seventh Annual 4th of July Fundraiser
BATON ROUGE – The Friends of the LSU Museum of Art will host the seventh annual 4th of July fundraiser “Red, White and Blue Dog” on Monday, July 4, at the Shaw Center for the Arts in downtown Baton Rouge.
The all-inclusive patriotic soirée ignites at 6 p.m. in the Bert and Sue Turner Gallery on the third floor with a festive fare of red, white and blue margaritas, delicious Bar-B-Q and all the trimmings from Texas Road House and music provided by The Ross Hoppe Trio.
The evening continues with a rooftop celebration on the Irene W. Pennington Rooftop Terrace with music by Captain Green Band and dancing until 11 p.m. At 9 p.m., the Baton Rouge skyline will light up as WBRZ and The Advocate present “Fireworks on the Mississippi.”
Limited tickets for this celebration are available for $125 for museum members and $150 for non-members, adults 21 and older only. To purchase tickets, call Melissa Daly at 225-389-7212. Museum memberships are also available. All proceeds support LSU Museum of Art programming. Parking is available in the Third Street and Convention garage.
