College of Art & Design’s VIUScan 3D Scanner
Landscape architecture graduate student Matty Williams demonstrates a new 3D scanner obtained by the College of Art & Design’s CxC lab through a Board of Regents grant. The scanner, along with a new CNC mill, will help students collect and manipulate data to expand their design and visual communication skills.

Members of the local design community were able to see the new Art & Design CxC lab equipment in action during a networking session held Wednesday in the Design Building’s commons area and the Design Shop.
