Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week's annual 90-second student pitch competition winners: Vilien Gomez, from White Castle, La., whose business idea was a tailgating service; John Mehall, from Detroit, Mich., whose business idea was a parking app for use by college students and sports fans; and Peter Palma, from Valley Forge, Pa., whose business idea was a magazine-shaped cleaning kit for military use.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, LSU hosted the annual 90-second Student Pitch Competition. 17 students signed up to pitch their business ideas to three judges and were given 90 seconds to pitch their business idea, followed by a brief question and answer session with the judges
On Friday, Nov. 21, LSU Executive Education and the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute hosted a panel discussion with local entrepreneurs. Breakfast to Business is a quarterly program that aims to provide timely, practical information and solutions regarding current business topics that affect the Baton Rouge community from a local, regional and national perspective.
