The LSU War Memorial, which sits in front of the Memorial Tower on the LSU Parade Ground, was dedicated on Oct. 8, 1998, in memory of those who have given their lives in military conflicts from World War II through the present day. New students attending the Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration Program can earn college credit through testing, meet with senior college representatives to learn more about the curriculum, plan their first semester and schedule their classes. LSU still has several sessions of its Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration Program remaining this summer, including July 8-9, July 11-12, July 15-16 and Aug. 19-20.
