New LSU President and Chancellor F. King Alexander met with incoming LSU students in the Student Union Theater this week during Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration. New students attending the Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration Program can earn college credit through testing, meet with senior college representatives to learn more about the curriculum, plan their first semester and schedule their classes. New LSU President and Chancellor F. King Alexander met with incoming LSU students at the 459 Commons this week during Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration.
New LSU President and Chancellor F. King Alexander spoke with families of new incoming and transfer students at LSU this week during Family Orientation. LSU his holding Family Orientation sessions throughout the summer. The Family Orientation Program is designed for parents and family members of freshman and transfer students entering LSU. The goal is to provide them with the information they need to participate in their student’s educational future. Mari Kornhauser, LSU screenwriting professor and writer for the HBO series "Treme," was the featured speaker for Tuesday's LSU Science Cafe at Chelse's Cafe. Kornhauser discussed what it's like to write for such a popular show and talked about the general business of screenwriting.
