On Wednesday, June 19, Interim LSU President and Chancellor William Jenkins was presented with a commendation by Staff Senate President Chad Gothreaux for his remarkable leadership and vision during his tenure at LSU and to thank him for his unwavering support of the university community. Interim Vice Chancellor of Research & Economic Development and Boyd Professor Thomas Klei was honored with a surprise reception in recognition of his service to the university on June 19. On July 1, he will return to his research role at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The 22nd annual Employee Recognition Program was held on May 1 to honor loyal LSU employees who have achieved 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service. The 22nd annual Employee Recognition Program was held on May 1 to honor loyal LSU employees who have achieved 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service. LSU employees with 35 years of service include Laura Lindsey, Cathy Duncan, Erick Swenson, James West, Van Cox, Ronald Malone, Frances Lawrence, Robert Doolos, Elva Bourgeois, Stephen Bensman, Gerry Fitch, Mandy Gage, Peter Davidson and Thomas Cooper. LSU employees with 30 years of service include Angela Fleming, David Bahnsen, Dorothy Starns, Joyce Andrews, Daniel Blanchard, David Foltz, Lisa Snedigar, Vernon Booker, Peter Jowett, Sandra Granger and Sarah Liggett.
