The third meeting of the Student Experience Sub-Committee, chaired by Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honore’ and Carroll Suggs, of LSU’s Transition Advisory Team took place on Wednesday, April 3, at the LSU Energy, Coast and Environment Building and focused on career services and graduation rates. LSU junior Jonathan Lambert of Madisonville was named an Udall Scholar by the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation, LSU’s third Udall Scholar. In addition, junior Erin Percevault, a native of Verona, N.J., was named an Udall Honorable Mention. On Tuesday, April 2, LSU Continuing Education celebrated an endowment gift of $950,000 from The Bernard Osher Foundation for long-term support for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at LSU.
On Thursday, April 4, Plug In LSU announced the launch of its website, www.pluginlsu.org, which offers information on the use of electric vehicles and an interactive map to find locations for EV charging stations both in Louisiana and throughout the country, including the two stations at LSU. The LSU Police Department hosted emergency personnel from Southeastern Conference universities from March 26-29 for the third annual SEC Police Chief and Emergency Manager Conference.
