LSU's Transition Advisory Team heard a presentation from Interim Vice Chancellor of Research & Economic Development Thomas Klei, Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost Stuart Bell and College of Humanities & Social Sciences Dean Gaines Foster on Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Lod Cook Alumni Center. On Tuesday, Feb. 19, a sold-out crowd in the LSU Student Union Theater was riveted by a presentation from poet and African-American activist Maya Angelou as part of "A Night with Maya Angelou." From Feb. 16-24, the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute at LSU hosted the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities, a training program for veterans who were disabled as a result of their service in Iraq and Afghanistan.
LSU Career Services held its two-day Career Expo in the Maravich Center on Feb. 19 and 20. LSU's largest recruiting event, the Career Expo draws hundreds of recruiters and about 2,000 students and alumni. More than 1,500 seniors participated in LSU's 2013 Spring Senior Celebration in the Lod Cook Alumni Center from Feb. 18-20, where graduating seniors purchased their caps and gowns and took senior portraits.
