Manship School of Mass Communication graduate students participated in Super Bowl Media Day in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as part of a Louisiana-focused sports journalism course. Manship School of Mass Communication graduate students were able to meet various sports professionals, including Stuart Scott (pictured at left), in addition to NFL players at Super Bowl Media Day on Tuesday, Jan. 29. Campus Life held the spring Student Involvement Fair on Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Student Union. The Student Involvement Fair is held once during both the spring and fall semesters each year.
The Student Involvement Fair is held to introduce students to registered student organizations at LSU. Student organizations are assigned to tables and encouraged to display and distribute organizational information and recruit members. After 32 years, Ed Dodd retired from LSU at the end of January. He was honored with a retirement celebration in The Club at LSU Union Square. Dodd has worked in the video and digital imaging department in the Office of Communications & University Relations, most recently serving as the department's director.
