This movement is led by Jan Martin (pictured speaking above), wife of LSU Chancellor Michael Martin. As part of Spring Greening Day, students, staff and faculty participated in beautification projects across campus to both demonstrate and encourage a sense of pride and ownership in the university’s campus – widely renowned as one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country.
Spring Greening Day is co-sponsored by the Office of Landscape Services and the Division of Student Life and Enrollment’s Campus Life office in support of the Green Tiger Project. Some areas of interest during Spring Greening Day included Memorial Tower, Tower Drive, Howe Russell and Life Sciences.
