On Thursday, April 19, LSU named Suzanne L. Marchand (right) and Kalliat T. Valsaraj (left) as Distinguished Research Masters. Information Technology Services held a ribbon cutting on April 12 to mark the completion of its project to more than double the power and cooling available to the Frey Computing Services building. Frey Power and Cooling was a joint effort involving Finance and Administrative Services, Facility Services and Information Technology Services.
The LSU Mounds, which date back approximately 6,000 years to the Archaic period, are some of the oldest Native American mounds found in Louisiana. A 121,000-square-foot innovative and comprehensive recreational facility featuring state of the art equipment, high-level programming, and modern amenities, the UREC Student Recreation Center provides a modern and energetic atmosphere conducive to the needs of its patrons. A bloom from one of LSU's many broad magnolia trees on campus that inspired the university's alma mater.
