LSU Chancellor Michael Martin greeted students participating in the prestigious LSU Spring Invitational Program, March 28–30. The students invited to the Spring Invitational rank in the top 15 percent of the nation's high school seniors. Spring Invitational participants experience the Tiger spirit and what it's like to be an LSU student while learning about campus life, programs and services. The LSU Spring Invitational Program’s including testing sessions, orientation programs, scheduling privileges and social activities. The efforts and resources of the entire LSU community is ready to help these incoming students make the most of their college careers.
The students and their families who participated in the 2012 LSU Spring Invitational were treated to a welcome picnic by the Office of Orientation. For fans of Harry Potter, or just the sport of Quidditch, the LSU Quidditch club practices on the Parade Ground. The LSU Quidditch club promotes the magical sport of quidditch and tries to increases awareness of it's existence. The LSU women's lacrosse club practicing on the Parade Ground. The team will take on Baylor and Texas State on Saturday in San Marcos, Texas.
