Completed in 1924, David Boyd Hall was named for one of the original LSU faculty members in 1860. Boyd spent more than 20 years at the university and following his death in 1899, the 1900 Gumbo was dedicated in his honor. LSU students walk through the fog around campus. A thick fog covers the LSU Lakes.
