LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean Eli Jones announced that Steve Forbes, president and chief executive officer of Forbes Inc., will be the guest speaker at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Business Education Complex on Friday, March 2. The new Business Education Complex will facilitate world-class teaching and learning as faculty and students connect with information and business experts worldwide. The complex will accommodate students, as well as executive education and business community functions. Ground was broken for the Business Education Complex on March 19, 2010. The state-of-the-art facility actually boasts four buildings, totaling 156,000 square feet of space, and is located next to the E. J. Ourso College of Business’ current home, Patrick F. Taylor Hall.
On Tuesday, Jan. 24, LSU University Recreation celebrated the addition of 90 new pieces of fitness equipment and recent renovations to the UREC Student Recreation Center. The Easy Streets entrance to the main campus along Dalrymple Drive. The Easy Streets project restricts traffic to the core of campus and has reduced traffic on campus by as much as 62 percent, exponentially increasing the use of bicycles.
