On Tuesday, July 19, LSU Chancellor Mike Martin spoke to members of the Baton Rouge business community during LSU’s Breakfast to Business series, a bi-monthly program presented by LSU Executive Education. Chancellor Mike Martin discussed the role LSU plays in the local and state economies as well as where the flagship university is heading at "Breakfast to Business" on July 19. LSU's Innovation through Institutional Integration, or I3, Program and Center for Computation & Technology, or CCT, hosted Edward Seidel, former director of CCT, on Wednesday, July 20.
Edward Seidel, the NSF assistant director for mathematical and physical sciences, was on campus to present "The Data and Compute-Driven Transformation of Modern Science" on Wednesday, July 20. Mike VI is LSU's live tiger mascot. Born on July 23, 2005, he will celebrate his sixth birthday tomorrow. He was officially declared Mike VI at a ceremony held on Sept. 14, 2007. Mike VI lounges in his 13,000-square-foot habitat next to the Maravich Center on campus.
