Storm clouds roll over Pleasant Hall on Wednesday, in advance of heavy rains and thunderstorms that doused the campus and much of the Baton Rouge area. An ominous mixture of light and dark clouds mix together above the Hebert Law Center and Parade Ground Wednesday. The Memorial Tower stands tall as threatening storm clouds loom overhead.
Wednesday's rains gave way to better conditions Thursday and Friday, while also giving campus plant life a much-needed respite from prolonged hot and dry conditions. While many students take the summer off, others remain on campus and take the opportunity to enroll in the university's summer course offerings. Students travel through the Quadrangle between summer classes.
