Jerry Ceppos was the fourth candidate to interview for the position of dean of the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication. Dean of the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada-Reno, Ceppos is visiting campus from March 9 through March 12, and gave his “Vision Talk” on March 10. Shirley Plakidas, director of the LSU Student Union, discussed the completion of union renovations during a celebration on Friday, March 4. A jazz band helped celebrate the end of a nearly three and a half year renovation to the LSU Student Union.
During the celebration the jazz band and members of the union staff second lined through the LSU Student Union. The LSU Student Union originally opened its doors on Jan. 6, 1964. Students wait for a bus along the Tiger Trails bus route.
Many in the LSU community as well as visitors to the campus may have seen new signage adorning the LSU campus. This new signage is part of the university's Wayfinding Project and these permanent signs are being phased in around campus as funding becomes available. Lockett Hall on a beautiful, spring-like day.
