LSU hosted the Region VII Science and Engineering Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 22, and Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the Student Union’s Royal Cotillion Ballroom. The Region VII Science and Engineering Fair consisted of students from middle and high schools in seven parishes including East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, East Feliciana and West Feliciana. Students from seven parishes presented their projects to judges, and the Region VII Science and Engineering Fair winners move on to the state science fair, which will be held March 22-24.
LSU's Office of Communications & University Relations recently won 19 awards at the CASE District III & IV Conference, including nine gold and four silver awards. Chancellor Michael Martin meets with Louisiana-born Donna Douglas, best known as the actress who played Elly May Clampett on the television series, "The Beverly Hillbillies," from 1962-1971. Bicycles parked in front of Jackson Hall, the Mass Communication Residential College, in the Pentagon.
