LSU Chancellor Michael Martin and Tang Boming, president of Chongqing Jiaotong University in China, sign a memorandum of understanding between the universities to foster a collaborative partnership. In accordance with a mutual desire to promote joint interests, LSU and Chongqing Jiaotong University, or CQJTU, met Friday, Jan. 21, on LSU’s campus to enter into a memorandum of understanding with respect to mutual cooperation on education and research. Members of the LSU Police Mountain Bicycle Unit chat with students in the Quad. This personal interaction with the LSU community is just one of the many benefits of the bicycle unit.
The LSU Office of Academic Programs Abroad held its 2011 Spring Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Each semester, the fair is a great opportunity for students, faculty members and staff to learn about exchange programs and scholarship opportunities. Attendees at the Study Abroad Fair had the opportunity to talk to program directors, Academic Programs Abroad staff and former student participants for more information on summer, semester and year-long national and international exchange opportunities.
