Mary Manhein, also known as the "Bone Lady," teaches students about forensic anthropology. Mary Manhein is world-renown for her work in forensic anthropology and director of the prestigious LSU Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services, or FACES, Lab. Students walk to class in Allen Hall located in the LSU Quadrangle.
On Monday, Oct. 10, the Campus Federal Credit Union reopened its branch location in the LSU Student Union. The branch is located on the ground floor across from the bookstore coffee shop. Pictured, from left to right, at the reopening of the Campus Federal Credit Union's branch location in the Union are Roger A. Hinson, chair of the LSU Department of Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness; Dawn Harris, chief operations officer and executive vice president of Campus Federal Credit Union; and Kenneth Paxton, vice chair of the LSU Department of Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness. Members of the LSU Capoeira Club perform on Monday, Oct. 10, in Free Speech Plaza. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, music and dance.
The LSU Capoeira Club was formed in the spring of 2010 and teaches the basics of Capoeira. Students learn painting techniques in Ed Smith's Introduction to Painting class in Foster Hall. Ed Smith is an associate professor in the painting and drawing faculty of the LSU School of Art.
