Announcing the establishment of Friends of The Southern Review
(Click Here for a List of Our Friends)

In an effort to further the cause of publishing literature and art in a world where funds for such endeavors is continually shrinking, Bret Lott has established Friends of The Southern Review, an association made up of those who understand and appreciate the importance of literature and the arts, and who desire to help through their own contributions to continue The Southern Review’s role as one of the most valuable and vital journals in America.

All donors to the Friends will be recognized in each issue of The Southern Review. Those who give at the Provider or Contributor levels will receive a one year subscription, those who give at the Sponsor level will receive a five year subscription, and those who give at the Patron level and higher will receive a lifetime subscription to The Southern Review.

In addition, those who give at the Patron, Guardian, Benefactor, and Partner levels will receive as an expression of our gratitude an original signed and numbered print of artist Barry Moser’s live oak woodcut, the image that adorns our masthead and which symbolizes the history and legacy of The Southern Review. Mr. Moser has printed 150 copies of the live oak on 9-1/2” inch by 12-1/2” inch hand-made paper; these works of art will be made available only to those contributors to Friends of The Southern Review. No further editions of this print will be made.

If you would like to join Friends of The Southern Review, simply download the membership form, and send it, along with your check made payable to the LSU Foundation, and note The Southern Review on the memo line, to The Southern Review, Old President’s House, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70803, or contact us at (225) 578-5108.
