LSU Veteran & Military Student Services launches academic tutoring for student veterans
This fall, LSU Veteran & Military Student Services (VMSS) has launched a free academic tutoring program for student veterans of LSU.
At this time, the tutors will specialize in Mathematics, and will help students map out a plan for success. VMSS coordinator, Adam Jennings, said: “Students seeking tutors should come to the Veteran Center and meet with a tutor and begin to develop a personalized plan that fits their learning style.”
Through this program, it is now easier than ever for Veteran students to connect with tutors for math based subjects. There is no sign up process. Students can stop by the Veteran’s Center in 315 Hatcher Hall on tutoring days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:30-4:30p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30-2:30p.m.
The LSU VMSS Academic Tutoring Program is sponsored by Cheveron. This program is a welcome addition to the resources offered by the University and its supporters to promote veteran success and graduation.
