Airports

Baton Rouge is serviced by the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. The LSU campus lies approximately 10 miles south of the airport. Get directions to LSU from the Baton Rouge airport.

Some recruiters coming to LSU choose to fly into Louis Armstrong International Airport just outside of New Orleans and approximately 70 miles southeast of LSU. Get directions from the New Orleans airport.

 

Parking

Regular On-Campus Interviewing Program

If you are conducting interviews through the regular On-Campus Interviewing program, you will receive parking information in your confirmation packet.

 

Career Expo

If you are participating in a Career Expo event held in the fall or spring semester, you will receive a parking pass upon entering the designated lot described in your confirmation packet. (Additional passes are available, please contact Jennifer Gomez, 225-578-1129, prior to the event for arrangements.) Please report to the unloading zone to drop off any Career Expo materials that you brought with you. You will then be directed to the designated parking area nearby.

 

One-day programs

If you are conducting interviews through one of the special one-day interviewing programs coordinated by the LSU Olinde Career Center each semester, you will receive a parking pass upon entering the designated lot described in your confirmation packet. (Additional passes are available, please contact Jennifer Gomez, 225-578-1129, prior to the event for arrangements.) For more information, please review the confirmation packet sent in the registration confirmation email.

 

Evening presentations

If you are participating in an evening presentation on campus, you should obtain a visitor's parking permit from the LSU Visitor Information Center. If you park on campus before 7:30 p.m. without a parking permit, you will be ticketed. You are encouraged to allow plenty of time for parking; available parking in the evenings is scarce because of the popularity of LSU evening classes.

 

Visitors to campus

If you are visiting LSU for a purpose other than recruiting through the LSU Olinde Career Center, you need to obtain a visitor's parking permit from the LSU Visitor Information Center unless the office/person with whom you are meeting has made special arrangements for you.

 

Illegal parking

LSU Parking & Transportation Services tickets or tows vehicles parked illegally. LSU does not permit parking in:

  • fire lanes (red curbs)
  • handicapped parking areas (blue) without proper tags
  • no parking areas (yellow curbs)
  • some reserved spaces
  • parking which causes blockage or inconvenience or parking which impacts the safety of individuals.
