Zeta Tau Alpha was chartered at LSU in 1959, starting the Delta Kappa Chapter, beginning a strong tradition of sisterhood that is flourishing today. ZTA at LSU has the largest number of members nationally of all Zeta chapters. Zeta also has the third largest number of collegiate chapters in the National Panhellenic Conference.

The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha pride ourselves

in upholding the standards established by our founders more than 100 years ago. Members exemplify sisterhood, scholarship, campus involvement, and community service. We also enjoy many social activities throughout the year, including Casino Grub, Bus Trip, Crush, Semiformal, and Crown Formal, in addition to weekly exchange parties with fraternities.

Zeta Tau Alpha members are leaders on campus, and we are represented in organizations such as Homecoming Court, LSU Ambassadors, LSU Bat Girls, Student Government, Order of Omega, Omicron Delta Kappa, College Councils, and many others. An involved group of women, Zeta Tau Alpha sisters can be found participating in events like Homecoming, SongFest, Sigma Chi Derby Days, Lambda Chi Alpha Watermelon Bust, Kappa Sigma Kickoff and Sigma Phi Epsilon Softball.

ZTA's national philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness. Our efforts have earned ZTA a seat on the Susan G. Komen "Million Dollar Council," joining the ranks of BMW, Yoplait, Hallmark, Pier 1, and other corporate partners. Locally, Zeta sisters at LSU sponsor a pancake breakfast in the fall and Zeta 300 Bowling Tournament in the spring to raise money for our philanthropy. In addition, we remind LSU students to "Think Pink" an effort to increase breast cancer awareness among both men and women. Zetas also sponsor Prince and Princess for a Day, a project in which sisters visit children in a local hospital and treat them to a day of fun and friendship.
